The collection contains selected, physical objects (artifacts, paintings), audio recordings (CDs,cassette tapes), photographs and moving images (VHS tapes, video on CDs computerized video), about the lives of the Dominican Sisters of Hope.

The collection contains records of the history of the foundation of the Dominican Sisters of Hope since 1995. The establishment of Hope started with the merger of three congregations, Dominican Sisters of Sick Poor, Ossining; Dominican Sisters The Most Holy Rosary, Newburgh; Dominican Sisters, Fall River MA.

This collection contains official records from members of council including the prioress and various other council members since the founding of Hope in 1995. The collection includes transfer papers, meeting minutes, correspondence, writings and publications etc.

This collection is reserved for special projects taken on primarily by the Dominican sisters of Hope Mission Promotion department. These projects are short term endeavors. Special collection projects are different from ministries undertaken by the sisters. They are for a limited time and are generally are not funded.
