Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Marie Constant was born Arcilia St. Amour on March 15, 1902 in Fall River, MA. She entered the Fall River Congregation on August 4, 1920. She received the habit on August 4, 1921 and was given the religious name, Sister Marie Constant. She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1922 and final vows on August 4, 1926. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: St. Anne's, Fall River, MA, 1922-1924, 1925-1926, 1929-1931, 1932-1945; St. Thomas, Fall River, MA, 1924-1925, 1926-1928; St. Joseph, Fall River, MA, 1928-1929; St. Francis, Xavier, Acushnet, MA, 1931-1932, 1959-1961; and St. Peter's, Plattsburgh, NY, 1945-1955. She died June 15, 1993.
