Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Anne Eva was born Eva Roy on April 3, 1905 in Fall River, MA. She entered the Fall River Congregation on December 7, 1934. She received the habit on August 19, 1935 and was given the religious name, Sister Anne Eva. She pronounced first vows on August 20, 1936 and final vows on August 20, 1939. During her years in the congregation she served in the following places: Motherhouse, Fall River, MA, 1936-1939, 1944-1949, 1951-1953,... 1972-1983; St. Rose Acushnet, 1939-1940; St. Dominic, Plattsburgh, NY1942-1944, 1960-1963; Holy Rosary, Chateaugay, NY, 1955-1960; St. Anne, Mooers Forks, NY, 1964-1966; St. Augustine, Peru, NY, 1963-1964; and St. Edmond, Ellenburgh, NY, 1966-1971. Sister served in the capacity of cook and maintenance. In the 1960s she also taught Religious Education. She died January 20, 1984. See more
