Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Alphonse was born Marie-Rose Riendeau on June 13, 1875 in Canada. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on March 7, 1902 and was given the religious name, Sister Alphonse. She pronounced first vows on March 8, 1903 and final vows on March 7, 1907 . During her years in the congregation she served in the following convents: Plattsburgh, NY; Motherhouse, Fall River, MA; Acushnet, MA; and Mooers Forks, NY. She died on April 26, 1945.
