Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Mary Teresa was born Cecilia Nolan on January 7, 1869. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on October 14, 1895 and was given the religious name, Sister Mary Teresa. She pronounced final vows on October 15, 1896. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: St. Thomas; St Joseph; St. Anne; and Dominican Academy. Sister was also a member of the General Council, 1922-1940. She was in charge of St. Rose's Convent, Acushnet, MA, 1931-1934. While there, she supervised the farm. She died December 10, 1959.
