Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Veronica was born Emilia Landry on February 15, 1897 in Manchester, NH. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on August 4, 1916 and was given the religious name, Sister Veronique. (She began using the name, Sister Veronica after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1917 and final vows on August 4, 1921 . During her years in the congregation she served in the During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Fall River, St. Anne's, Fall River, MA, 1916-1917, 1920-1925, and 1930-1941; St. Anne, Cohoes, NY, 1919-1920, Dominican Academy, Fall River, MA, 1928-1929; and St. Joseph's, 1929-1930. She died on January 3, 1979.
