Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Mary Thomas was born Mary Halloran on May 1, 1896 in Fall River, MA. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on March 7, 1918 and was given the religious name, Sister Mary Thomas. She pronounced final vows on March 7, 1919 and final vows on March 25, 1923. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Dominican Academy, Fall River MA as both teacher and principal. Sister receive a B.A. and M.A. Catholic University, Washington, D.C. She died on September 28, 1993.
