Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Marie Jourdain was born Claire Gauthier on February 13, 1890. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on March 7, 1911 and was given the religious name, Sister Marie Jourdain. She pronounced final vows on March 7, 1916. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Cohoes, NY; St. Peter, Plattsburgh, NY; and St. Francis Xavier, Acushnet, MA. She... died on May 7, 1961.
