Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Marie of the Assumption was born Regina Cuillerier on April 29, 1900 in St. Telesphore, Quebec, Canada. She entered the Fall River Congregation on August 4, 1927 and received the habit on July 25, 1928, and was given the religious name, Sister Marie of the Assumption. She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1929 and final vows on August 4, 1933. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: St. Catherine of Sienna, Fall River, MA; St. Rose, Achushnet, MA; St. Anne, Mooers Forks, NY; St. Dominic, Plattsburgh, NY; and St. Philip's. She died on August 13, 1985.
