Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Dominic was born Ludivine Cornellier on February 11, 1885 in St. Damien, Quebec, Canada. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on August 4, 1906 and was given the religious name, Sister Marie Dominique. (She began using the name Sister Dominic after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on March 25, 1908, and final vows on August 25, 1912. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Cohoes, NY; Grafton, ND; and Plattsburgh, NY. Sister also served the congregation as Bursar General, Councilor General and as Prioress. She died on June 19, 1974.
