Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Rita of the Rosary was born Jeanne Comtois on October 15, 1920 in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. She entered the Fall River Congregation on February 1, 1950 and received the habit on August 25, 1950 and was given the religious name, Sister Rita du Rosaire. (She began using the name Sister Rita of the Rosary after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on August 30, 1951 and final vows on August 30, 1954. There is no record of ministry assignments. She died on September 18, 1968.
