Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Rose was born Rose Christie on July 31, 1891 in Taftville, CT. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on August 4, 1920 and was given the religious name, Sister Henry Suso. (She began using the name Sister Rose after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1921 and final vows on August 4, 1925. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Fall River, MA; Cohoes; Chateaugay; Acushnet, MA; and Plattsburgh, NY. She died on March 6, 1973.
