Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Jean Massias was born M Delia Caron on January 22, 1888 Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on December 18, 1910 and was given the religious name, Sister Jean Massias. (She began using the name Sister John Massias after Vatican II). She pronounced Final vows on December 8, 1915. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Dominican Academy, Fall River, MA; St. Anne's, Fall River, MA; and St. Francis Xavier in Acushnet, MA. Sister also served as Novice Mistress in the congregation. She died on December 15, 1973.
