Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Ignatius was born Catherine Brown on August 28, 1896 Venosta, Quebec, Canada. She entered the Fall River Congregation on September 6, 1920 and received the habit on August 4, 1921 and was given the religious name, Sister Mary Ignatius. She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1922 and final vows on August 4, 1926. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Plattsburg, NY; and in the Academy in Fall River, MA. She died on October 28, 1960.
