Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Benedict was born M. Eva Bouthillier on December 17, 1896 in Fall River, MA. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on March 7, 1913 and was given the religious name, Sister Marie Benoit. (She began using the name Sister Benedict after Vatican II). She pronounced final vows on March 7, 1918. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Plattsburgh, NY; St. Anne's, Fall River, MA; and the academy in Fall River, MA. She died on April 15, 1963.
