Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Mary of the Annonciation was born Dora Boudreau on June 11, 1895 in Fall River, MA. She entered the Fall River Congregation on August 30, 1924. She received the habit on July 13, 1925 and was given the religious name, Sister Marie de L'Annoncion. (She began using the name Sister Mary of the Annonciation after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on August 4, 1926 and final vows on August 4, 1930. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Dominican Academy, Fall River MA; St. Ann's, Fall River, MA; St. Peter's, Plattsburg, NY; Peru, NY; and Mooers Forks, NY. She died on November 27, 1964.
