Biographical/Historical Note
Sister Lucy was born Arthemise Bigras on September 29, 1872 in Ottawa, Canada. No date of entrance to the Fall River Congregation is recorded. She received the habit on March 3, 1903 and was given the religious name, Sister Lucie de Narni. (She began using the name Sister Lucy after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on March 9, 1904 and final vows on March 25, 1908. During her years in the congregation she served in the following capacities: procurator of the Academy in Fall River; procurator of the General Council; and prioress in Plattsburgh, NY. She died on May 27, 1967.
