Biographical/Historical Note

Sister Louis Marie was born Amanda Arpin on May 30, 1887 in St. Ours, Quebec, Canada. No date is recorded for her entrance into the Fall River Congregation. She received the habit on August 30, 1909, and was given the religious name, Sister Louis Marie. She pronounced final vows on March 7, 2014. During her years in religious life, she served in Plattsburgh, NY. She also served in the following capacities: Prioress of the Congregation; Vicaress of the Congregation; Local Counsellor in the Congregation; Mistress of Boarders in Fall River; Principal of St. Anne's School, Fall River MA; Librarian; and lastly she served as Portress in Fall River. She died on November 21, 1974.
