The collection contains the membership records and personal papers of each Dominican Sister of Newburgh who was deceased when the Newburgh congregation voluntarily dissolved in July 1995. The collection, which includes materials dated before 1868, was incrementally accrued during 1868-1995 when the congregation was in existence.

Conditions Governing Access
Access to the the personal records and papers of each sister, except for selected materials that are open for research, is restricted until 60 years after her death. Some records and papers of individual sisters may be permanently restricted.
