The Rights of Nature

The presentation by Sister Pat Siemen, OP was given at TedX Jacksonville and was published on YouTube on 2013 December 10. S. Pat proposes that, just as the ideals of human rights are protected by legal systems, the rights of the rest of creation must be protected by Earth Jurisprudence. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
