Sister Ursula Marie was born Veronica Vanneman on December 10, 1901 in Washington, DC . She entered the Newburgh Congregation on February 1, 1925 and received the habit on August 22, 1925 when she was given the religious name, Sister Ursula Marie . She pronounced first vows on August 23, 1926 and final vows on August 30, 1932. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: St. Boniface, NYC, 1926-1928; St. Paul, Jersey City, 1928-1933, 1960-1966; St. Mary, Gloucester, NJ, 1933-1940; Larchmont, NY, 1940-1948; Mt. St. Mary, Newburgh, NY, 1948-1949; St. Augustine, Larchmont, NY, 1949-1950, 1968-1970; St. Patrick, Woodbury, NJ, 19501956' Holy Family, New Rochelle, NY, 1956-1960; St. Cecilia, Iselin, NJ, 1966-1968; Queen of Apostles, Alexandria, VA, principal, 1970-1971-1974; St. Joseph, Toms River, NJ, 1977-1983 and tutored at St. Joseph, 1983-. St. Ursula Marie earned her BS in Elementary Education from Fordham University. She May 1, 2001.
