This collection contains records from all the sisters who make up the DSOH. It includes their personal papers, publications, artistic work, photographs, diplomas, ministry history etc. The Dominican Sisters of Hope were founded in 1995. The group includes members of the former Newburgh Domincan, Fall River Dominican and Ossining Dominican Communities. The sisters work and minister in various ways including community organizing, social work, education, environmental advocacy, and retreat ministry.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Rosanna was born Rosanna Quinn on June 17, 1939 in Paterson, NJ. She entered the Newburgh Congregation September 8, 1957 and received the habit on June 11, 1958 when she received the religious name, Sister John Patricia. (She began using the name, Sister Rosanna after Vatican II). She pronounced first vows on June 17, 1959 and final vows on August 21, 1962. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Our Lady of Fatima, Scarsdale, NY, 1961-1966, 1979-1992; Bishop Dunn Memorial, Newburgh, NY, 1966-1977; St. Ursula, Mt. Vernon, NY, 1977-1979; and St. Paul, Jersey City, NJ. Sister Rosanna also served as Formation/Vocation Coordinator, 1991-? Sister earned a BA from Mt. St. Mary College, Newburgh, NY and an MS in Education at SUNY, Potsdam, NY. She died February 15, 2006.
