This collection contains records from all the sisters who make up the DSOH. It includes their personal papers, publications, artistic work, photographs, diplomas, ministry history etc. The Dominican Sisters of Hope were founded in 1995. The group includes members of the former Newburgh Domincan, Fall River Dominican and Ossining Dominican Communities. The sisters work and minister in various ways including community organizing, social work, education, environmental advocacy, and retreat ministry.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Angela was born Mary Linardi on September 7, 1912 in Boston, MA. She entered the Ossining Congregation on June 11, 1932 and received the habit on December 8, 1932 when she received the religious name, Sister Angela. She pronounced first vows on June 13, 1934 and final vows on June 13, 1937. During her years in the congregation she served in the following Dominican Sisters Home Health Care Agencies: Columbus, OH, 1937-1942, 1948-1951; New York, NY, 1942-1948, 1954-1968; Minneapolis, MN, 1951-1954; Bronx, NY, 1968-1970; Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NY, staff nurse, 1970-1972;and Rofay Nursing Home, Bronx, NY, as recreational therapist, 1976-1983. Sister also volunteered at Montefiore Hospital, NY, 1983-1987, and as a receptionist in Ossining, NY, 1990-1993. She died July 19, 2005.
