This collection contains records from all the sisters who make up the DSOH. It includes their personal papers, publications, artistic work, photographs, diplomas, ministry history etc. The Dominican Sisters of Hope were founded in 1995. The group includes members of the former Newburgh Domincan, Fall River Dominican and Ossining Dominican Communities. The sisters work and minister in various ways including community organizing, social work, education, environmental advocacy, and retreat ministry.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Connie was born Constance Koch on August 5, 1949 in Mt. Vernon, NY. She entered the Newburgh Congregation on August 31, 1973 and received the habit on June 22, 1974. She pronounced first vows on August 10, 1975 and final vows on September 20, 1980. During her years in the congregation she served in the following schools: Saint Ursula, Mount Vernon, NY, 1973-1975; Holy Family, New Rochelle, NY, 1975-1976; and Bishop Dunn Memorial, Newburgh, NY, 1976-1988. She was a member of the Institute for Preaching, Mariandale Retreat Center, Ossining, NY, 1988-1989. Sister Constance did pastoral, parish, and family ministry at Sacred Heart Parish in Dobbs Ferry NY, 1989-2008. She was pastoral assistant for faith formation at Holy Family Parish in New Rochelle, New York. 2008-. Sister also served for many years in Teens Encounter Christ, (TEC). Sister Constance earned: her BA in Education from Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY; her MS in Special Education from Fordham University; and her MA in Religious Education from Fordham University.
