This collection contains records from all the sisters who make up the DSOH. It includes their personal papers, publications, artistic work, photographs, diplomas, ministry history etc. The Dominican Sisters of Hope were founded in 1995. The group includes members of the former Newburgh Domincan, Fall River Dominican and Ossining Dominican Communities. The sisters work and minister in various ways including community organizing, social work, education, environmental advocacy, and retreat ministry.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Kathleen was born Kathleen Hebbeler on April 6, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH. She entered the Ossining Congregation on September 15, 1961 and received the habit on September 8, 1962 when she received the religious name, Sister Trinitas. (She began using the name, Sister Kathleen after Vatican II.) She pronounced first vows on March 7, 1964 and final vows on March 7, 1970. During her years in the congregation she served in the following Dominican Sisters Home Health Care Agencies: Cincinnati, OH, 1966-1967, 1970-1979; and Columbus, OH, 1968-1970. She was a nurse in the clinic at the West End Health Center, Cincinnati, OH, 1980-1982; worked part time in program development with EPIC, Inc., Cincinnati, 1982-1988; and part time home nursing at Clifton Care Center, Cincinnati, 1982-1990. Sister Kathleen served in congregational administration, 1984-1992. She was a part time staff nurse with United Home Care, Cincinnati, 1990-1992. Sister was president of the Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor, Ossining, NY, 1992-1995. She served as associate director of The Women’s Connection in Cincinnati, OH, 1997-. Sister Kathleen earned her BSN in Nursing from Cornell University Hospital School of Nursing, New York City.
