This collection contains records from all the sisters who make up the DSOH. It includes their personal papers, publications, artistic work, photographs, diplomas, ministry history etc. The Dominican Sisters of Hope were founded in 1995. The group includes members of the former Newburgh Domincan, Fall River Dominican and Ossining Dominican Communities. The sisters work and minister in various ways including community organizing, social work, education, environmental advocacy, and retreat ministry.

Biographical / Historical
Sister Mary of the Trinity Blanchette was born Aurore Yvonne Blanchette on February 13, 1918 in West Warwick, RI. She entered the Fall River Congregation on August 29, 1947 and received the habit on August 25. 1948 when she received the religious name, Sister Mary of the Trinity. She pronounced first vows on August 30, 1949 and final vows on August 28, 1952. Sister served as Treasurer of the Fall River Congregation. Sister Mary of the Trinity earned degrees in: BA in Liberal Arts and an MA in Religious Studies, Providence College, Providence, NY. She died March 14, 1998.
